Words cant suffice how damn good this meal was, like my mind is actually blown... I wish I lived here, so I could go every day, but I also am glad I don’t as I can’t go everyday. I wouldn’t be able to afford this every day (even though it is actually really cheap and good value for what you’re getting)

I was very impressed with the restaurant and quality of food. The portions are huge so be careful what you order! You can’t beat the price. Our meal was $45. Anywhere else would’ve been & $90 or more. Highly recommend

Very good food and excellent service.

I love the fries, rice, and chicken. Usually full but you can also take-out, which is awesome.

I get to eat here a lot since I work close by. I must say the service is always excellent and they keep the place neat regularly. Pricing is fair and they serve sizeable portions.

Incredibly good food, at incredibly good prices. This neighborhood staple was more than impressive. Food was fresh and made to order and came out within minutes. Portions are huge so bring your appetite! They don't serve alcohol, but we were able to bring our own bottle.

Lovely place to dine or take out, the BBQ meat is exceptional, great taste..... the staff is very attentive and sweet, the BBQ GUY has a great smile at all times.... lol and the owner is always there greeting and serving the customers.... I've been coming here for years... I LOVE THIS PLACE....

Rude.... Only my second visit. 1st time, I called, arrived 20 mins later (was told 15) my food was placed on the grill after I Waited in line for 15 mins. So today, same process of calling. I heard the guy tell the cook my order, but due to my first experience, when i arrived, i walked to the front just to ask if my food was ready. Instant attitude, and the line was not even thst long. Fast forward... My self and my money leave that place to never return again. There are 1000 bbq places on Ferry street.

Delicious. Staff is moderately helpful. Too much food. Ordered my steak medium rare. Came out slightly cooked.

When visiting NYC, I would always make my way over to this “hole in the wall” restaurant in New Jersey that has the best food at the most reasonable price!

Really good prices, really good food. Fresh, definitely busy if you're ordering take out. Evening is impossible to get a seat to dine in. Hopefully they don't change anything with how they operate.

For years my husband has been telling me about this chicken in Newark. Finally today I was able to taste it. The chicken was so GOODDDD!!!! The chicken was in fact too good I never tasted anything like it. I will be making the trip to Jersey just for this chicken. My kids and I enjoyed it so much we couldn’t stop eating it. Thankfully we got 2 whole chickens for dinner.

I love this place great food. But my last visit I had an encounter with the guy wearing a blue shirt with his hair back. He is a racist I asked for extra sauce cup he tells me no I told him I would pay extra he’s like I already gave you. He’s like next time you come here I’m only charging you 5 dollars extra for any sauce you take. Gave me an attitude and repeated 5 dollars twice more. I was like is there something wrong with me he’s like you next time I swear 5 dollars. He’s a racist has something against colored people. The world is messed up from people like that.

Very disappointed. Just spent $70 on ribs and chicken and asked for a styrofoam container because im sharing with someone and they refused.

Never will order from again. They got my order wrong and when I went back the next day the gentleman couldn't hear me, as adjusted my mask I was treated with cruelty and unprofessional behavior. I would give them a zero star if allowed. I would avoid these racist bigots like the Covid-19

Very tasty with huge portions. Usual get the chicken & ribs, but recently had the pork cubes which was also incredibly good. 1 dish is enough for 2 or more, in the case of the pork cubes I think this could feed 4.

I normally do not put bad reviews, this is only done under extream circumstances. The owner of this establishment is not handling COVID situation correctly. He accepts phone calls for orders, and when you arrive they tell you orders can only be done waitting in line.What they are doing is bait switch situation. I order ahead so to avoid being in a line with OTHER people, it's crowded!. Also this restaurant is in the MAIN street where people walk alot.I would not recommend supporting an establishment who performs these actions to gain profits. Bait and switch at its worst.

I meet friends in this great spot a lot! This is the best place to eat. I visit this spot regularly. The cooking is excellent, the staff members are professional and the rates are affordable. I enjoy meeting in this place over a rich supper.

In my opinion the best taste in BBQ chicken and a generous portion at a very reasonable price. The other menu items are good too! Very busy Friday and the weekend but worth the wait👍

Had a excellent experience in here with my wife. The food came quick and the service is just excellent. Prices are fair.

Pros1. Beef ribs was delicious.2. The BBQ chicken was delicious.3. The staff is friendly.Cons1. The entrance to the rest room was not designed for people 6 feet tall or above. Make sure you duck. Lol2. The rice needs more flavor.

Wonderful inexpensive barbecue restaurants food is great and delicious, I know the owner personally for years. usually up out the fries with vegetables or beans. Stingy with the barbecue sauce & hot sauce. Bad and rude Attitude from two specific employees, won’t go there back there again. Even though they are right next to my house and the food is so good.

If your craving rotisserie chicken with rice and fries then this is a good place to stop in. It's a definite staple on Ferry St, the platters are huge as you can see in the pic.Come Hungry I'm NOT Kidding!🤤 (Unless your taking it home)

This is quickly becoming our every Friday spot. Food is delicious and they are really fast as food is in the oven waiting for you. Not expensive and whether you eat in or take it to go, you'll be pleased. The only real negative is that the parking isn't the greatest, so bring someone to sit in the car.

Great food, the ribs and chicken are amazing. I and my friends travel from New York to Newark just to eat there. I am giving only 4 stars because the atmosphere is basic, and if you go there late you may get to eat only chicken.

Best bang for the buck. Good size portions perfect for sharing with friends and family. One regular order can easily feed 2 to 3 people. Platters are overflowing with rice and fries (Salad available as well). Got a half pork rib platter and it was plenty. We also had the salmon and shrimp. Efficient, no nonsense service. For the price can't complain. Can't wait for our next visit.

The food is very good! Even my kids were raving about it. You get a lot of food for a little bit of money.
